The Story

Meet Phoebe

Phoebe is a very sweet, social girl with a big personality and an even bigger love for life and adventure. She absolutely adores being around her people, playing with toys, and joining in on whatever fun is happening around her.

She’s very affectionate and enjoys attention, playtime, and being included in daily activities. Phoebe has previously lived with cats and has done well with them. She can be selective with dogs, so introductions should always be slow and thoughtful and she would do best as the only dog in the home (with friends on the outside). Because of her size, excitement level, and enthusiasm for life, she is best suited to a home with children 14 years and up.

Phoebe enjoys walks and outdoor time, and she will need daily exercise and enrichment to stay happy and balanced. She is highly food motivated and enjoys activities like Kongs, lick mats, snuffle mats, and enrichment games.

One of Phoebe’s most unique (and very entertaining!) traits is her love for the outdoors in every sense. She adores digging holes, rolling in dirt, and even running through mud puddles whenever she gets the chance. She truly embraces her “adventure dog” lifestyle - so a home with a sense of humour (and maybe no white furniture!) is a must!

She also loves to roll on her toys, especially balls, and can get very excited during play. When she’s in a overexcited, she may jump up and bite her leash. Because of this, she will need continued work on leash skills and structured walking. She is currently best suited to off-leash secure environments, where she can safely enjoy freedom and exploration.

Phoebe does best in active, experienced homes that understand enthusiastic, high-energy dogs and are willing to continue her training and channel her excitement in positive ways. She is incredibly fun, intelligent, and loves being outdoors - and would likely even enjoy swimming!

At her core, Phoebe is an affectionate, joyful, and adventurous companion who is looking for a home that will embrace her personality, her quirks, and her zest for life
