Meet Bello!

Bello is a very shy and sensitive boy who is looking for a calm, patient home where he can truly feel safe and secure. New environments, loud noises, sudden movements, and unfamiliar people can be overwhelming for him, so he will need understanding adopters who are committed to moving at his pace and giving him the time he needs to build trust.

While Bello may be nervous at first, he has a truly sweet and loving nature just waiting to shine. Once he feels comfortable, he loves affection—he’ll ask for pets (often quite vocally!) and quickly turns into a purring machine as soon as you start. He especially enjoys gentle attention and regular brushing, which can be a wonderful way to bond with him.

Bello is still gaining confidence and has started to venture out more, especially during quieter times like the evening. He enjoys being near his people and has a very endearing routine-he loves when everyone settles in early so he can curl up beside you for a cozy night full of cuddles.

He also has a playful side that is beginning to emerge! Bello enjoys wand toys, especially ones with feathers, and with a little encouragement, he’s starting to explore and engage more in play.

Bello will benefit from a quiet, low-traffic home without too much stimulation. He is still working on some skills like fully covering his litter, and he may need gentle guidance and patience as he continues to learn and grow.

Bello is FIV+, but that doesn’t define him! Indoor cats with FIV can live long, happy, and healthy lives with proper care and regular veterinary check-ups. He will also need an adopter who is mindful of his sensitivities, including avoiding triggers like dusty litter or strong fragrances.

With patience, kindness, and a calm environment, Bello will continue to blossom into a loving and devoted companion. If you have a gentle heart and are looking to help a shy kitty come out of his shell, Bello could be an incredibly rewarding addition to your home
